The country of Vanuatu is considered to be the birthplace of kava some 3000 years ago. The wild cousin of kava(Piper Wichmanii) was domesticated and shaped by farmers for millennia to give us the kava that we enjoy today!

Vanuatu has over 60 varieties of kava - this one is called Melomelo and that is exactly how it will make you feel!

This kava is strong! Probably more potent than the Premium, but the taste is very strong also. You won't like drinking this one but you'll feel the effect - sometimes even the next day! I guess you can always use less kava powder to make a drink of "regular" strength.

The powder is dark and aromatic and the kava beverage is also dark.

This kava is grown in the Wainiaku region of Taveuni Island in Fiji. Taveuni is known as the "Garden Island" and kava from here is known throughout Fiji for its strength!

Makes a dark and potent beverage, that is actually "light on the tongue". You'll enjoy this pure 'waka' grade kava!

These 1/2 coconut shells have been sanded smooth, then stained dark in mangrove swamps. Light and smooth - they feel good to hold. The traditional cup for kava drinking!

Our Kava Cup Holders are hand woven lauhala, each one is unique and individual. Holds the kava cup during your kava party, but also, the cup and holder together make a great shelf display in between parties !
